Python Job: Junior Data Engineer

FinXL IT Professional Services is a leading IT services organisation providing a broad range of services to assist large Australian enterprises and Government departments to deliver IT projects.

At present, an outstanding opportunity exists for a Data Engineer to join our team at a highly regarded organisation. This role is suited to a junior - mid level experienced candidate with 2 - 4 years experience.

The successful candidate will bring the following skills and experience:

Experience in data engineering, data ingestion, query optimisation, data segregation and ETL.

Experience in designing and developing SQL stored procedures, views and data models in a MS SQL database environment.

Experience in T-SQL query performance tuning.

A passion for Reporting, data and analytics - Power and Tableau

Ability to automate scripts using Python and/or SQL would be highly-regarded but is not mandatory

The organisation is Melbourne based, but you have the autonomy to work remotely from anywhere in Australia or New Zealand (including but not limited to Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Perth, Adelaide, Auckland, Wellington, Newcastle, Sunshine Coast, Gold Coast, Geelong, Hobart, Darwin etc.)
